"Ballet Central 2001 Tour"
Ballet Central – see what you want to see….and more

Now in its 16th year, Ballet Central is one of Britain’s most popular touring dance companies. Audiences will get another opportunity to spot the dance stars of the future when Ballet Central return to perform their spectacular showcase evening, with plenty of dance styles ranging from ballet to contemporary and jazz dance, guaranteed to suit all tastes.

Highlights of the programme include a new staging of the Peasant pas de trois from Giselle, the purely classical Allegretto danced to Beethoven’s score and Hands in the Clouds which draws on the 32 positions of the T’ai Chi form.

Add to this, exciting new work choreographed by Antonio Castilla (ex San Francisco Ballet), Sara Matthews (ex Rambert Dance Company) and current and past members of Ballet Central with original musical scores by Music Director Philip Feeney.

The result is a fascinating evening which shows the versatility and range of the young artists.

Dance at its Best – Don’t miss it

Already booked, as I do every year. Always a delightful evening. And good to try to spot who, out of these youngsters, will get to dance with the established dance companies.

Definately look out for a dancer named Poppy Ben David!
She is a brilliant Choreographer too-winner of Ushler Morton 2000, last year she also created 'Sirensong' for RB Dance Bite at the age of 18.
