What a shame. Ondine is out.
Thank you for the news about Cojocaru, Kevin.
Do you happen to know the provisional casting for this festival?

I've only heard that Alina Cojocaru is to dance the Giselle performance on 24 Feb. I don't know yet the casting for the rest of the festival.

The latest news I've heard here in St. Petersburg is that Alina Cojocaru and Johan Kobborg will also dance in the closing night's gala next Sunday, besides the Giselle performance on Monday night. They will dance the Romeo and Juliet pas de deux in the Gala.

I was informed that the Kirov's Covent Garden season should commence in the last week of July.

I have no doubt as to why Cojocaru won the hearts of Russian audience in the 3rd Mariinsky Ballet Festival. She's a perfect Giselle!
There has been a report on her performance last night: http://www.balletalert.com/forum/showthread.php?s=1f7bef064ffae5b53e16afc3f7d563ca&threadid=9963

I have to say I think it's a bloody check of Szoradi to ask others to post links to her review elsewhere! An internet where all people do is self promote their work elsewhere seems all wrong.

Bruce, since you feel so strongly about self-promotion through the backdoor, you should perhaps consider removing that posting.

The point has been made. It's not a unique view but hopefully we can now move on.
