"East Grinstead"
   Hi there.

Can anyone tell me whether there was ever an Adeline Genee ballet school in East Grinstead, West Sussex, UK. If so, where was it situated because it isn't there any more. Are there any details on the history/biography of Adeline Genee anywhere?

Bush-Davies School of Dancing was located in East Grinstead and the Adeline Genee theatre was in the school grounds which were on the road to Lingfield just outside East Grinstead. I do not know what,if any, her connections were with the school but I am sure there is information avaiable here and in Denmark there is certainly a book about her written by Ivor Guest.
Hope this helps
