"Paris tickets for sale 23/24 October"

My holiday plans in Paris have unfortunately been cut short, but i've only found this out today, after I've already purchased 1 ticket to see Raymonda on the 23/10 worth 330.00 F and 2 tickets to see the Balanchine/Robbins etc.. on the 24/10 worth 290.00 F each. Both are at the Palais Garnier. Is there anyway I can get my money back does anyone know? Will anyone be there on those dates who would be interested in buying them directly from me? Any tips on what I should do?
Thanks in advance.
P.S Anne, I apologise for not being able to meet you there as planned.

Guy, there is unfortunately no official buy-back system at the Opera, unless you are a member of the AROP, the equivalent of the Friends of the Royal Ballet.

If you do come to Paris (according to your message, it would appear that your stay has been shortened, not cancelled), you will probably be able to sell your tickets to people in line at the Palais Garnier box office (from 11:00 to 18:00) or in front of the opera house. This is quite a common occurrence.

If you are not coming to Paris at all, or want to try to sell them in advance, you might want to put them up for auction at www.ibazar.fr, in the "Sports & Loisirs" section. Although rock concerts and sport events are dominant there, I have seen many an opera ticket go that way.

Of course, the best solution would be that a fellow board-reader be interested! Good luck!

Guy, I'm really sorry to hear this, not only because we won't be meeting but also because you will have to miss both performances(in particular Raymonda, which everyone raves about).

I hope at least you can sell the tickets.
