"Did Fonteyn come down the staircase on pointe?"

I have recently received from Dance Books the video of the 1967 performance (I think for TV) of Ashton's Cinderella, with Sibley and Dowell. Sibley gives a beautiful, crystalline performance, and Dowell is delicious, as ever. In the ballroom scene, where Cinderella comes down that grand staircase, Sibley does only the last three steps on pointe. I had in my mind an image of Fonteyn coming down all the steps on pointe. Have I imagined this? It's quite possible! Can anyone remember what Fonteyn did?
