Yipes - how can you just pick one?

I am suffering from withdrawal symptoms, work and other commitments have meant I could not get to London to see the wealth of Ballet you have had, and we have had none since before Easter. Roll on the completion of the Hippodrome Refurb.

I think it might be easier (and probably rather more revealing) if you asked who is your favourite Juliet, or Giselle, or Aurora. I'd expect different preferences for the different roles. (Though I think your ten or so candidates could be the same).

How about favorite Auroras for a start ?

There are so many ballerinas and they are all so different. People like different dancers for their different qualities. How will you decide who will make it to the short list. Will it just be the dancers from the big ballet companies?

Er.... for teh avoidence of doubt if you find you share a first name with someone can all concerned move to use first name and and an appropriate addition. Also to use this on Postinsg and Chat. That way we know who is who! (Which reminds me that I need to change my signature on Chat - someday I will be perfect!)

Now doubtless I have missed some favs off. But all I can say is that if you don't like the Mini-poll please come up with a great question and great answers 'cos its not as easy as you probably think. Thank you muchly

Based on those who have danced in London over the last two years I would like to include to the list NYCB's Maria Karowski for her fine Agon pas with Albert Evans and a stunning turn in the Rubies solosit role.

Guillem is the one it seems and getting better all the time of course.

Nice to see RB dancers (or ex in the case of Durante) doing so well with 4 of the top 6 slots.

Note that these are all ballerinas who are either London based or who have come from overseas to perform in London. We will do a UK only ballerinas poll another time.

And I know it depends on the role, but we all have favourites - well most of us do anyway.

Surely its interesting and entertaining to know if more people like Dali or Picasso? Whatever, it's not that serious of course and nobody would suggest that the results of polls be used for Arts Council funding...
