"Bolle Update"
Just wanted to send a brief note through saying I saw the new production of Aida at the Arena in Verona, Italy on Friday and the choreography and the dancing in the triumphal sequence were truly spectacular. No elephants. The emphasis was on the dance and wonderful it was not only to see this new streamlined emphasis, but also the audience's strong embrace of it. Roberto Bolle blazed and was met in every nuance by Myrna Kamara, who some may remember a few years ago when she was so stellar with Miami City Ballet in their presentation of The Four Temprements at the Edinburgh Festival.

This production is one year old and the very first performance was filmed and broadcasted by RAI on the same evening.
