"Ricochet at the QEH"

This performance in London's Queen Elizabeth Hall was very much a game of two halves. The second half featured a 30-minute work choreographed by Russell Maliphant and the fine Ricochet dancers performed the flowing, sculptural movements with an easy grace that masked the difficulty of the work. Those who have enjoyed Maliphant's pieces in the past will enjoy this new work.

The first half featured 4 solos commissioned by the Company. One would expect at least one of the works to really click, but sadly all 4 are very forgettable, with jokes that fall flat and movement which is often bland, despite the skill and commitment of the performers. The final performance at the QEH is tonight, Wednesday, 20th April.
