"Another video enquiry"

I've found a video of Swansong by the English National Ballet on amazon.co.uk (it also features the Dutch National Ballet doing Silence is the End of our Song) does anyone know if this Swansong is danced by the original cast? (Kevin Richmond, Matz Skoog and Koen Onzia) If it isn't does anyone know where I can get hold of a video of the original cast, I saw one years ago and I've wanted to see it again ever since!

Thanks
Rachael

Rachael, yes this is the original cast you have named and very fine it is too. You might be interested to know that Matz Skoog is now Artistic Director of the Royal Ballet of New Zealand.

'Silence is the End of our Song', also by Bruce (Christopher not Marriott), has never gripped me in anything like the same way as 'Swansong' or 'Ghost Dances'.

Swansong is excellent - it really transfers well to the claustrophobic atmosphere of TV, and is probably even better than on stage. Plus you get Onzia, who was marvellous (not to mention Skoog and Richmond!). Can't comment on the second piece.

Thanks Stuart and Alison, I don't think I worded my original question very well though, I mean to ask if it was the original cast (the chaps I named) that is on the video I've found, I don't think it can be though becuase it's from 1996. I'd like a video of the original cast ideally if anyone knows of one around
thanks (again)

Rachael (hopefully I've made sense this time!!)

Sorry if my response was not clear Rachael. The 'Swansong' video you mention, coupled with 'Silence....' is of the original cast, recorded for Danish TV. The 1996 date is an error or some other date as the recording was made in the 80s.
