Well it did occur to me that a new Forum could be useful....

On the other hand do we really want to encourage separateness rather than togetherness?

I'm undecided, but I tend to think that the POB threads are starting to attract wider contributions and comparisons... which is all to the good

But what do others think?

Bruce, how about a separate section on POB and other European ballet companies with sub-threads, e.g. on POB dancers, POB concours, POB artistic policies, POB repertory, Royal Danish Ballet, La Scala etc.?

I don't think there *was* any POB in MCCCXXIII, was there?

Hmm..something daft happened to my message. Here goes again. It did occur to me that the POB thread was running slightly out of control. So is this a chance for a new forum for continental ballet. But well done Bruce, Ballet.co has reached a new audience. Eastern Europe, here we come http://www.danze.co.uk/dcforum/Images/happy.gif!

And Northern Europe - I'm sure that there are folk in Germany, the Benelux and Scandinavia who would welcome the opportunity to take part in such a high quality bulletin board. The fact that the bulk of the debate (until the last month) was UK based may have discouraged them from engaging with us.

Given the strength of dance (contemporary as well as ballet) in these countries and France, I strongly suspect that the proposed Forum may well be busy.
