From NY Times Department: These links seem to persist for a about a week and as such they don't get transferred into our database like all the others...

Not sure if this is a link that will be persistent for long - I've just been looking around the new (to me) Scotsman site and came up with the following find. Need to do more digging - there might well be more...

This week's Time magazine has an article on the ROH which you might find interesting. It's headed

" After a two-year facelift, and a few last-minute
snags, London's Royal Opera House opens to rave reviews"

There was an article by John Percival in today's
The Independent about different productions of the Nutcracker. "If it's Christmas, it must be the Nutcracker" Bruce, why don't we have an access to the Independent on this site ? I always find their dance reviews quite good. They had an article about the preview performance at the ROH you had attended, but no other papers did.

I havn't looked for a while but their web site never seemed to feature dance and the lack of a search function was a pain. It kind of seemed the type of site that had stuff on for teh day and then it all got junked. Will have to have another look!

Well I've had a look and it's clearly much better than before. Thanks for mentioning it Tomoko.

Assuming the URLs are stable (which they ought to be) we will be adding them to the list of sites that we scan each day.

BALLET: Winning ways with the dance. The ENB Nutcracker reviewed by Clement Crisp:

The next one is from the Independent, which seems to have been reorganised in October and now looks rather better. I found a few ballet and dance pieces, but before taking them into our database we need to check that the URL's are persistent ie they are not changing all the time and hence impossible to record for the longer term. They should be OK I think, but you never know. Anywhere our first Indie link...

There was a lovely front pape photograph of Bussell and Bolle in today's Telegraph. Also Ismene Brown writes "The most significant events of the Nineties for British dance". She calls Guillem the dancer of the decade.
