"Competition: Australian Dance Pictures book to be won"

   LAST EDITED ON 03-03-03 AT 07:36 AM (GMT)

I've just put up a page about
Michelle Potters 'A collector's Book of Australian Dance'.
It's cram packed with lovely images, a few of which are on the page at:
http://www.ballet.co.uk/magazines/yr_03/feb03/aus_dance_book.htm

You can order the book from the National Library of Australia web site at:
http://www.nla.gov.au/pub/dance.html

But you can win a free copy by entering our competition...

The Competition...
The following image is actually of Jennifer Barry and Janet Vernon in Barry Moreland's Dialogues 1982 and the photograph is by Walter Stringer (1907-2001 ) ©

Now disregard the actual details because to enter the competition all you have to do is give us an amusing caption to the picture - by replying to this Posting. If you are registered for Postings just hit reply.

{if you are not registered with us, register here, login here and then reply}

The competition will run through March and the winner will be announced in early April. Feel free to enter as many times as you want. As usual the judges decision will be final!

Do have a go....

   Thought of Lady on the left: "Now I know the contact lens is here somewhere, but I really shouldn't let her know I'm looking for it, so I'll try to appear nonchalant."

Thought of Lady on the Right: "As if I don't know she's looking for that contact lens, well as far as I'm concerned I have no obligation to tell her it's under my toes. Let her look."

   ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE ROYAL OPERA HOUSE

Sadly budget cuts have meant some changes to The Royal Ballet's published performances of Winter Dreams.

Cast reduction measures are in force and the ballet will be now retitled Autumn Dozings. Masha's absence from the procedings will be indicated by a curtain announcement indicating that she had already departed for her new life in Moscow.
