" Booking at Royal Theatre, Copenhagen."

Has anyone tried booking at the Royal Theatre in Copenhagen by phone? Does anyone there speak English? I doubt if my Danish is adequate!

Only ever did counter bookings there - a failed attempt as they were sold out but their English was good.

Suzi and I booked by phone for the opera a few years ago. The staff were helpful, spoke excellent English, and a credit card booking wasn't a problem. Also, their opera prices are a revelation by contrast with the ROH. But then, their public subsidy is far greater.

Helen - I've booked by phone with absolutely no problem - they were very helpful. What are you going to see?

Thanks, everybody - I'll brave the telephone when I know exactly when I'm going. It looks as if it's going to be Sleeping Beauty - I'd rather have had some Bournonville, but unfortunately the ballet is secondary to the holiday in this case.

I have done it - Sleeping Beauty in April! You were all quite right and there was no problem at all - in fact I think the English spoken by the girl at the end of the phone was better than the English I often hear from Box Office staff in Britain.
