"Behind the Scenes at ROH - course"

Has anyone here ever taken part in this course for 18-22 year olds? I'd like to chat to someone who has. It's quite pricey and I was wondering if the experience you get here is really worth the money.

I took part in it a couple of years ago, the first time the course took place in the new building, so it is probably different now as they were still experimenting. Oh the whole, I found it very informative. We were allowed to use the Linbury studio, watched a ballet rehearsal and the open class, saw a performance (free programme!)and saw an opera stage rehearsal. Other activities included learning a bit of ballet (my group did Serenade), an opera chorus, costume design, playing in groups. There were other things that I can't think of at the moment. It gives you a chance to come face to face with people who are in the business and to talk to them about their careers. For people who are wanting to get into theatre work they offer very good advice. It is expensive, but I think it is probably one of the best courses that there are because the whole place is filled with people at the top of the proffesion.

Claire, thank you so much for the helpful advice. Your experience isn't too different from what ROH has detailed in it's leaflets.
