"Ballet burglary"
A friend of mine was burgled over Christmas and has lost, among other things, a number of rare ballet items, including:

1. A pink and green Meissen porcelain figure of Fanny Elssler.

2. A small oil painting of Elssler, half-length.

3. A white porcelain figure of Ulanova as The Dying Swan, on the floor with the torso bent forward.

It's probably a forlorn hope, but could I ask ballet.coers to keep an eye open for these items in antique shops, stalls, markets, etc and report any leads to me, David Leonard, at dl@dancebooks.co.uk.

Thank you.
