"West End Theatre Strike ?"

I just noticed a report in today's Times that backstage staff in West End theatres have voted to go on strike after turning down a pay offer of 1.6 per cent.

The story does not say when the stike might happen, but it would presumably affect the dance houses as well as the commercial theatres in the West End.

Not again! It doesn't sound as though it's imminent, though, if they're still potentially negotiating.

It's worth keeping an eye on the union BECTU's home page to see how this develops. The URL is http://www.bectu.org.uk/
