Marianela Nunez and Carlos Acosta as Kitri and Basilio pulled all the stops out, and the Grand Pas de Deux was really fantastic. Both dancers were really on form and it brought the house down.

Nunez as Dulcinea in the Dream sequence had a beautiful quality and was perfectly matched with Zenaida Yanowksy as a gracious Queen of the Dryads and Marta Barahona as a querky Cupid.

All in all, the whole show was a delight and one of the best I have seen in a long time.

I think the company are now relaxing into the production and it showed on Tuesday night.
