"ballet paintings"

I am a professional artist, who has won awards for her work, and you can see my work on my website www.jackiesimmonds.co.uk.

I have exhibited widely in the UK, and my paintings have also been reproduced as prints and sold world-wide. I have written four art instruction books and made 6 videos about pastel painting. I recently had a very successful solo show in a Mayfair gallery which I hired myself, (which enabled me to give a proportion of the proceeds to charity) and I am now working towards my next solo show in 18 months time. I would dearly love the theme of this show to be to do with the world of dance, and would like to produce fully-worked images - not just quick drawings of a single dancer in action, but scenes of, say, rehearsal rooms, dancers at rest, dancers in the wings, and behind the scenes. As a student, (20 years ago!) I produced many such images, based on drawings done in a sketchbook very quietly in a corner of a rehearsal room, and the occasional back-up photo. I did not disturb the dancers, and they were at ease with my presence.

Is there anyone who could help me to have access to dancers in London occasionally, in order to produce the necessary background material for my paintings? (Or north-west of London)

I would be most grateful to hear from you. Please reply to my email address - jackiesimmonds@aol.com
