"suggestion for the next mini-poll"

How about asking which well known love story you would like to see set to ballet!

My suggestions would include

Tristan and Isolde (ideally set to Wagner's music!)

Othello

La Traviata
Antony and Cleopratra

Just a thought.

It has to be a dramatic love story so one could not really include say Nelson and Lady Hamilton

If we are talking about real lives here - how about the life of Margot Fonteyn - or Nijinski (sp?) There wouldseem to be enough rama and angst in their lives for a good dramatic ballet

There was a Kim Branstrup ballet about 3 years ago with Irek, based on Othello. There's also 'The Moor's Pavane' by Limon. So that's one story to cross off your list Eugene.

Yes - and there is another Othello choreographed by John Neumeier for the Hamburg Ballet.
And you could cross La Traviata off too: Neumeier also made a full length 'Lady of the Camelias' in
1978, which in currently in the repertoire in Munich and Stuttgart, I'm not sure about Hamburg.
And last but not least there is Ashton's 'Marguerite and Armand'.
I would like to contribute to that list, but at the moment I can't think about anything else.
Greetings from Munich
Vera

... and London City Ballet did Traviata about 10 years ago, although it wasn't very thrilling.

   Mr C by Bejart
Mr Worldly Wise by Tharp

I shall be rather reluctant to see any further ballets with a title starting with Mr.

Since this is not going far, and I suspect because none of us want to be terminally rude about anyone's work, how about "what one thing is guaranteed to turn you off in a work you have (or haven't!) seen?"

Stuart's could still be "the word Mr" in the title
Bruce's could still be the word "Béjart" in the program.

Mine would be the words "danced in silence" somewhere in the program note.
