Debra Craine at the Festival Hall sees the best New York has to offer:

Dark side of the fairy-tale. Edinburgh frenzy is here again. Ismene Brown previews next week's main Festival by talking to choreographer Mats Ek:

(**) FT links generally only persist for a few days, before going into an archive which you have to pay to access. So get free while you can. Currently visitors don't have to register to use the FT site, but in the past this was the case - hopefully it will not return

Chita is back - and she can still do the splits. Broadway great Chita Rivera starred in the original Chicago. At 66, she returns in a new role, she tells Ismene Brown:

From the Scotsman Edinburgh Festival Site - this link should bring up the reviews of Dance and Physical Theatre events on thr Frings:
http://www.festival.scotsman.com/all_rev.taf?function=list&x=fringe&y=dance

'Record labels are now desperate to police a medium they barely noticed until last year'. by Richard Morrison. (passing interest only - I won't be putting this in any of the databases):

Good news that the two 5* Edinburgh Fringe events reviewed in The Scotsman are 'Gumboots', the South African dance show and 'Cirque Eloize', which from Donald Hutera's description, is a close relative of dance.

No links that I can find I'm afraid - but note the Edinburgh Festival link above which should bring up the latest Fringe reviews whenever it is used.

By Ek, it's all very surreal. Should there be a chef in Sleeping
Beauty? Mats Ek thinks so. by Jann Parry:
