"Performance Running Times"

As someone based outside the Metropolis, visits usually have to be pre-planned with military precision.

The new RB season sadly doesn't offer a matinee for every programme, so I'm very interested in knowing curtain down times to try and avoid the additional cost of an overnight stay where possible (my last train home on Saturdays is 22.10 - ugh!).

Graham Root at ROH Box Office has kindly advised me that ROH hope to publish running times on site at some point in the future but can't guarantee when - can anyone using this site predict finishing times for the various RB Programmes?

Over to you!

Many thanks.

I think that most ballet will finish too close to 22.10 for you to be comfortable of getting your train (unless evening performance on the weekend start at 7pm).

You can definitely forget about Manon and Sleeping Beauty!

Of course, it depends on where your train's going from - Charing Cross is rather easier than Paddington! But I wouldn't think most evening performances would be of any use to you, except possibly short ballets like Giselle and Nutcracker. Unless you sit somewhere where you can sneak out unobtrusively, or possibly ask the staff if you can watch the last act on the CCTV (not very satisfactory, but ...)
