"Music from A Month in the Country"

Does anyone know if there is a CD available that contains all or most of the Chopin pieces? And if not, would someone be so kind and tell me which ones were used so I can piece together a CD of my own.

Thanks. Any help is very much appreciated.

I could not recognize very much - just the odd polanaise and etude. The only thing I really did recognize is the famous duet from Mozart opera's Don Giovanni!

The music is from three Chopin pieces:

Variations on 'La ci darem la mano', Op 2
Fantasy on Polish Airs, Op 13
Andante spianato and Grande Polonaise brillante, Op 22

John Lanchbery made some changes to the orchestration and made some other minor changes to fit the ballet.

Sylvia, showing my age - but there was an LP made not longer after the original production - nice photo of Seymour and Dowell on the sleeve. Do not know whether this made it onto CD transfer - you may come across the LP remaindered somewhere.

Did the BBC TV recording from the late 70s (along with Merle Park in The Dream) ever make it onto video, does anybody know?
