"durante, bussell and balachine"

Sorry to post this twice but I put my last message in the wrong forum!

Could someone please please tape the balachine program with Busell and Durante that is on this evening for me?

On the performance channel on Sunday 9:15. July 22.

I will gladly pay for tape and shipping.

Lara

If anyone can make another copy of the Balanchine programme, I'd be so grateful as well.

Likewise, I'll pay for tape and shipping.

   Lara and Sylvia

As far as I know the only examples of either Buselll or Durante dancing Balanchine and available on film are both to be found on the Balanchine celebration video which was made in 1993; Bussell is dancing 'Agon' and Durante is dancing a pdd from 'Who cares' with Ronald Price (or is it Roland Prince?). That video is widely available. I bought mine at the shop in the Lincoln Centre two years ago and I'm sure it can be ordered here in the UK from Dance Books.

I think that must be where the Performance Channel have taken their programme.

Hope this is helpful..

LAST EDITED ON 22-07-01 AT 07:19 PM (GMT)

Thanks Ann.

I've been checking the web pages for the last few months for the Balanchine programmes, but they don't seem to be available in the UK, including dancebooks. They go for US£30 on the NYCB website, plus another $20 postage.

If you are going to buy the video from the US make sure that your video machine can accept NTSC tapes - most machines do.

If it does not and you want to greatly increase your ballet video collection I strongly advise that you buy a another VCR (should not cost more then £80) and point your browser at www.kulturevideo.com. You will discover that there are far more videos available in the US then in Europe.
