"Next Mini-Poll"

   The next question will be:

"Currently who is the most unsung hero in UK dance"

All we need now are some nominations...

Off the top of my head I'd put forward Christina McDermott and Miyako Yoshida. But it need not be a dancer of course...

I think the unsung heroes of UK dance should include all the people who love to dance and who persist in attending classes under terrible conditions of concrete floors, poor heating, small rooms, no barres, etc..

ok... but not sure how that fits with our Mini-poll format. How would it be best to express that in a word or two or three?

Unsung heros should include those who perform the character roles, and rarely get to principal.
Two who did make it, but now only perform character parts are David Morse and Desmond Kelly.

Marion Tait and Anita Lander (I am not sure I have spelt Anita's surname correctly, she was BRB ballet mistress before Marion) are two more.

And what about those Ballet teachers who teach children in church Halls and Schools and instill a love of Ballet which lasts a life time. some will see a child they taught on the professional stage, but many do not, but provide the audiances for those who do.

Perhaps there are two or even more mini polls here, best character and unsung hero, performer and back room person.

Well the above suggestion does not seem to have done much for folks.

Has anybody got any good ideas?!

In the meantime I will leave the existing poll up

   How about:
Which ballet has the best music?
or
Which dead choreographer would you like to bring back to life to create another ballet?
or
Which forgotten ballet deserves to be resurrected?
or
Which book would you most like to see done as a ballet?
or
Which personality from the ballet world (living or dead) do you think would make the most entertaining daytime chat-show host?
or
Which is the best comic ballet?

However, since I suggested the last lead-balloon question, perhaps I should keep out of this.

Love the daytime chat show host one!

What about Sarah Wildor and Adam Cooper could be our new Richard and Judy!

Irek could do a Barrymore type programme and be as cheeky as he could get away with.

Sorry Bruce, I realise this still doesn't help with the poll.

Betty Anderton should do (ballet) celebrity blankety blank

Deborah Bull replaces Carol Vorderman on Countdown

Thomas Edur replaces Dale Winton in Supermarket sweep

Derek Deane replaces Jerry Springer

Darcy Bussell replaces Anne Robinson on watchdog

What do you mean this doesn't help the mini poll?!

Talking of comic ballet, I have always had a desire to see either Sylvie Guillem or Deborah Bull in something old fashioned like Pineapple Poll. Perhaps I should keep out of it too.
