"Ballet on the Radio on Saturday"

LAST EDITED ON 06-07-01 AT 08:49 AM (GMT)

I've just noticed that there is an interesting programme on Radio 4 tomorrow (Saturday, July 7)at 8pm. It's The Archive Hour - Ballerina, and seems to be about what is involved in maintaining the ballerina image, with archive material from Fonteyn, Markova, and Seymour. Young dancers contribute as well, and Deborah Bull leads the discussion.

... who, incidentally, bearing in mind certain other postings on this page, said something to the effect that she didn't like talking about her private life and thought it wasn't anyone's business but hers

But seriously, it was an interesting programme, with some fascinating extracts from the archives.
