" dont let debra go!!!!!"

she may not be as adored or celebrated as dancers like darcey bussell or as glamouras as sylvie guillem but debra bull should have definatelly had more of a farewell from the rb. this is a dancer who has spent 20 years with the company and was a truly wonderfull dancer and a great performer. How is it been made possible that she end her dancing career so queitly?
I am not suggesting a tribute gala, but her last performance was not even publicised!
i know there has been lots of covergae in the press about her new job but why was the one she has left behind so easily forgotten?

Because she was a good first soloist not a principal...

But we never got a chance to see what she was capable of. Didn't she win the Prix de Lausanne with a variation from Giselle? She said in her book that she preferred modern work over the big tutu numbers, but it's still gotta hurt. She was underutilised at the RB. I think after 20 years, it's a bit disrespectful to let her slip off the stage without a goodbye. Her new position is based on the hard work she put in offstage. Can we at least thank her for the work she put in onstage?

Perhaps the decision to exit as principal quietly was made by Deborah Bull. She will after all continue to dance.

It would be utterly unforgivable if however the choice of a big send off was not even offered to her by the ROH.

I thought she said in interview that she'd deliberately kept it quiet precisely 'coz she didn't want a fuss or big send off...
