   Thank you, Joseph!

A couple of quick observations:

* CHINA, yet again, proves that it is at the very top of the art, with yet another Grand Prix title, plus Junior Ladies gold and Senior men's bronze.

* ANTON KORSAKOV of the Kirov Ballet/St. Petersburg was an easy prediction to earn a top medal. Remember him from the London season last year...that phenomenal Bluebird? At Helsinki, he ties for Sr. men's Gold with Zdenek Konvalina of Czech Rep. (who is unknown to me)

* SERGEI UPKIN of Estonia -- Sr. men's silver medal here -- was another easy prediction. He earned bronze at last year's Varna competition.

* YOKO KANETA of Japan -- Junior ladies bronze -- another alumnus from last year's Varna IBC about whom I have fond memories.

...and I am 'proudest' of...

* Kirov Academy/Wash, DC alumnus, HWANG HYE-MIN (Korea), who earned the *only* Senior Division Ladies medal at this competition...the Silver. Ms Hwang also won a bronze medal at last year's New York IBC. YESSSSSS!!!!!!!!

Jeannie, thanks for your insights. I am so glad to hear that the talented Kirov soloist Anton Korsakov has won a top medal. And I am also pleased to hear that China has done so well.
