"Still No POB Dec. Refund - Shame on the Parisians"

The Paris Opera House's behaviour speaks for itself.

I was wondering if anyone had successfully received their monies.

Anyone interested in a group action?

Last Autumn I became something of a bore warning people of the problems of booking Opera Ballet or theatre in Paris. I lost my tickets for three nights in Paris, because the trains were on strike and the Paris Opera had no sympathy when I asked to cancel. The Opera Comique did refund my money but I lost heavily on the exchange. When I did manage to get to Paris a month later Ballet was impossible to book for and the Opera (and Ballet) went on strike. As I arrived at the Bastille I got a refund although it was not too clear that I would and I am pleased that I hung around asking. If I had taken some of the advice I was given I assume I would still be waiting. The Paris Opera Ballet obviously feels a long way from London and post hardly exists.. If you do get a refund the rate of exchange or bank charges will certainly reduce the initial investment. If you book for Paris go with an open mind and go to see the Art. Eurostar First Class is lovely, but Theatre especially Opera and Ballet is chancy you can lose quite a bit of money and spend evenings wondering what to do.
