Houston, we definitely have a problem....I think that's three times the critics have used this heading for their pieces on Houston Ballet!

The great leap forward

From tutu princesses to barefoot modern movers, a rising generation of spectacular young talents has hit the dance scene, confirming Britain as the heart of a dancer's world. Ismene Brown meets the ones to watch

Ann, on my browser at least the Guardian link only goes to the search page - this one

http://www.guardian.co.uk/Archive/Article/0,4273,4166103,00.html

works better.

Incidentally, I don't think the critics write their own headlines - it's the subeditors who are thinking alike!

Alison, I'm bewildered. When was this 'Great Leap Forward' article in the Telegraph? I included the links today because it was listed under April 6, but I bought the paper today especially to read it and couldn't find it anywhere! W

Alison - it's o.k., I think I've worked it out. The Telegraph doesn't put its stuff online at the weekend, they wait until later in the week. Its very confusing.

There's a paragraph in the Sunday Times Culture section about the daft state of Arts Council sponsorship which, tho relating to the RSC, might well be relevant to other aspects of theatre. You'll find it on:-
