"Bolshoi's Don Qixot"

Last few days of its season Boshoi performed Don Qixot.
This is the first production of Fadeechev as the AD of the ballet.
Fadeechev re-established the version of Petipa-Gorsky. He returned cherubs, horse, donkey and many other details to the ballet (as you know Grigorovich removed them in his version).
Fadeechev also re-established the costumes of Korovin-Golovanov.
Don Qixot in its original appearance become really sparkling performace.
I've seen two casts:
Ananiashvili - Uvarov
Lunkina - Filin
Both are wonderfull.
If you have iron nerves you can also go and see Vasiliev's Swan Lake (but may be I am wrong and you will like it).
Just be ready there is no Rothbart and there is no Black Swan.
But you will see an awful number of dancing. I just wonder how Prince manages to stay alive after the performance. The ballet is going on about 3 hours and 3 hours he is dancing, dancing, dancing...

Thanks for the information, Olga. It's great to have someone who can keep us up to date with the latest Bolshoi news. Now if there were only someone who could do the same for the Maryinsky...

I hear that the Bolshoi Swan Lake has sold out - a lot of people are in for a suprise if there is no Black Swan!
