"Gayaneh by Aram Khachaturian"
Not so long ago I've received a new CD, something really amazing-2 suites from the ballets Spartacus & Gayaneh by Aram Khachaturian (performed by the royal philharmonic orchestra, conductor: Yuri Temirkanov).
now,the cover photo was taken from a performance of Spartacus (by ABT); when I searched for videos of these two ballets I only found videos of Spartacus; In TV shows about ballet that I've watched only Spartacus was mentioned as a Khachaturian ballet.
My question is "Why??"
I've been told that Gayaneh was performed only in Russia, and that's why I couldn't find any information about Gayaneh in the internet. But still, everyone knows what the "Sabre Dance" is.

Why don't Ballet Companies in Europe and the USA performe Gayaneh? what a mystery.
Gayaneh has such a lovely music, a great story- what's wrong with this ballet? I would really like to know- what do YOU think?
