It's beautiful...but she was GORGEOUS as well... she still is. If you haven't seen her "Swan Lake" with Patrick Dupont, which is out on video, I strongly urge EVERYONE to see it. Her character, dynamicism, dramatic eye-contact is THRILLING. So is her technique. And of course, the POB corps is so beautiful, you can't compare them to other ballet companies! I personally think she's the best Odile of this decade!!!

I love really Pietragalla but I don't think she is the best Odette/Odile I saw. For me it was Platel or now it's Letestu. Pietra plays too. She's not believable as swan princess. It's like her Giselle I never saw a worst classical Giselle than her one. Against she was a perfect Kitri or she was wonderful in Raymonda . But in Swan or Giselle, she seems dance Mats Ek's version than classical one.

I agree (well almost) with Terry on this. I think she's the best and most believable Odette/Odile I've ever seen, with the exception of Sylvie Guillem. Apart from the dazzling beauty of her performance, her technique and her acting talents, she's the only dancer (my PVJ) who evokes a clear sense that her Swan Princess is something not really human and not just a ballerina in a white tutu.
