A review of the dance year in Sydney by Jill Sykes from the Sydney Morning Herald. There's some comment, not terribly positive, on the Stretton era at Australian Ballet.

1) I found this in the NY Times today (they send me their arts page every day but it usually comes too late for inclusion in the links posting):

Anna Sokolow: A Pas de Deux of Optimism Partners a Bleak Legacy

2) There's a v. glam photo of Tamara Rojo (amongst others) on the front of today's 'Hot Tickets' (Evening Standard Thursday mag.).

There was a review of the POB's Jewels by John Percival in The Independent. Also in The Times, Alina Cojocaru was listed in "Ten names to drop in 2001".

There was a rather sentimental piece - private view - "When Christmas was always white" by Deborah Bull in today's Telegraph. She says she is too old to be a snowflake and she's given up hoping that one day she'll turn into the Sugar Plum Fairy and there is nothing left in The Nutcracker for her to dance. "I've grown out of The Nutcracker and Christmas just doesn't feel like Christmas any more."
