"Dance Books move postponed"

Following my earlier message that Dance Books is closing its Cecil Court shop and moving out of London, I'm happy to report that we have negotiated a short extension of our lease.

We shall now be open all through December and January, and our last day of business will be on January 27. Please come and do your Christmas shopping with us!

And many thanks for all the kind messages of support we've received. May I reiterate that Dance Books is NOT closing down as a business: we shall continue as mail order and educational suppliers, and, of course publishers (Ivor Guest's next book, Ballet under Napoleon, is currently being edited, for publication in Spring next year).

I thought it seemed an odd move to close a shop in London and open in Hampshire - so you're only going to be operating by mail order and internet for sales from the new year? That's a shame, but I can understand the economic realities. Perhaps I'll manage another trip to London before you depart.
