"Favorite Ashton ?"

I was very struct by Crisp's comment on Scenes de Ballet in his review of BRB:

"It is a succinct, aphoristic, witty, mysterious, multi-faceted, irresistibly musical masterpiece, and if I had to throw all of Ashton off the sleigh to the pursuing wolves, this would be the last thing to go."

Hmm. I'm not sure it's the one I would have kept until last. Fille would be difficult to let go. And then there's Symphonic...but we all have different preferences. Thoughts, anyone ?

BRBs next tour in the Spring will include Ashton's Fille and a triple bill - Concerto Barocco (Balanchine), Powder(Stanton Welch) and In the Upper Room (Tharp). What a treat!
