Siobhan Davies is a choreographer without a home. Clement Crisp admires her latest work, 'Of Oil and Water', and asks: will a benefactor please step forward?

Judith Mackrell's article must be some kind of joke. She boldly claims that when Dowell's production of "Swan Lake" was first mounted, the Royal Ballet only had about 2 ballerinas who could dance Odette/Odile. Is that so? I don't think so. I seem to remember dancers of the calibre of Cynthia Harvey, Lesley Collier, Fiona Chadwick, Ravenna Tucker, Bryony Brind, Deirdre Eyden and Maria Almeida appearing that season. Looks like she's got a bit muddled in her memory.

There's also an article by Debra Craine on Antony Tudor's ballets in the Times. She claims that none of his ballets have been shown at Covent Garden for 17 years, which is odd, because I'm sure I saw BRB doing Pillar of Fire there a few years ago.

There's a review by Clement Crisp on the FT site of BRB's Ashton programme (he loved it). Searching on "Clement Crisp" on the advanced search page should pull it up. There's also one of the Royal's Swan Lake(he, er, didn't love it).

The FT has been changing over the weeks and you don't need to go to Advanced Search - the normal search box on the home page now works fine.

But there is no need for all folks to do this: once its been found by someone just copying the URL into a posting makes it quickly available to all. Some URL's have been problems (because of Frames - and even that is easy to sort when you know) but that's not the case with the FT (or Guardian, Independent, Observer and now the Times)

I'll include the link in todays (Saturdays) links. Ditto Alison's one about Tudor (which is similarly and easy copy/paste job). And yes I am trying to gently cajole folks into pasting links rather than instructions - it perhaps takes a minutes or two to experiment and confirm how easy it is (er.. we have a test page of course!) but then its really, really, really quick and saves many, many, many, many users time and also those who search for links day-in-day-out anyway.... sorry - got out of bed on wrong side!

   The neglected genius of ballet.
Antony Tudor was a brilliant choreographer but the success of rivals and problems in his own life meant that his work was scandalously neglected in this country - until now. By Ismene Brown:
