I've just logged on from a PC that isn't my normal one, and it came up with the "you have a personal message" message. When I went to look at it, I discovered that it was one at least 2 weeks old, which I'd already read at work. It may be the first time since that I've logged on to Ballet.co via a different computer, but does anyone know why the message would suddenly show up again after all this time? (I have to say that this isn't the only site I experience this with).

This is caused by cookie ageing. The inbox writes a cookie ('DCForumInboxTime') to your PC to track the age of the messages and thus display them (if appropriate). If the cookie hasn't aged then old messages will be redisplayed. Using different PC's will probably confuse the cookie aging (there will be a cookie on each PC). You should probably delete messages in your inbox once you've read them to prevent this.
