"Lay-out problem"

Under Netscape, I am getting a problem in the Listing of 'What's happening'. some of the horizontal yellow lines are going right across the page and covering the dance image. I am also having to use the horizontal scroll (a little) to see all the messages.

It is the same in IE (and other browsers) also. Afraid that's the way the product is when one gets so many replies to replies to replies etc. Old postings used to do something similar with long URL's. Not so much a bug (after all everything works in a functional sense) as a visual ambiguity!

If we didn't have the dancer image on the right it would look fine in these circumstances. But we do 'cos she's nice and I'd hate to abandon her because the odd page on occasion renders no so well.

As new postings come along this will migrate down the history chain and will cease to impact the active pages. Which is great - I don't have to do anything for once!

Fine and thanks for the information. Apart from the 'burying' problem that long discussions such as 'Juliet' cause for other messages and which we have already discussed, this niggle is another reason for having a discussion summary at the start of each Conference.

There are a number of things that can be changed, but I'm not going to do a thing on this for a few weeks.

People are still finding their way into the new setup and the last thing I want to do is move the goal posts on foks.

But when folks are settled in we will try tweeking things to see if they make it more usable for all or not. But there will be compromise here since what some like, others detest...

But the board makes a good place to debate the tweeks when we get there.
